Team Bonding in Singapore That Fits in Your Office (and in an Hour)

  • 3 min read

Every year, someone in the office gets handed "plan the team bonding".

If that's you this year, hello. I'm Christine, and I run Bath Bomb Flings.

I'm going to be biased here, because I sell workshops. But I've been bringing them into offices for three years now, and the ones that go well tend to have a few things in common.

What makes it easy on everyone

It's short. A half-day off-site sounds lovely until you add the bus, the briefing, and the people quietly answering emails at the back. Under an hour is enough.

It comes to you. Nobody loses an afternoon travelling. Your team walks from their desk to the meeting room and walks back after.

Hands are busy. Before bath bombs, I studied psychology and worked in counselling in the Navy. People chat more easily when they're sitting side by side doing something, instead of facing each other being told to "share". Nobody has to stand up and present anything.

Nobody loses. Competitive games are great for the loud half of the team. The quiet half usually wants to sit down and make something.

They take something home. A photo on the company page is nice. A bath bomb they made themselves will be something they look forward to using on their next holiday.

What a workshop with us looks like

I bring everything. You give me tables, chairs and an air-conditioned room. That's it.

Setup takes 15 to 30 minutes, and the workshop runs 45 minutes to an hour (or more if it is a chatty bunch). Groups of 8 to 30 work best. If your team is bigger, tell me and we'll work something out.

You can pick from three:

  • Bath bomb. Everyone mixes, colours and scents their own, then presses it into the mould. Unmoulding is the bit the whole table watches.

  • Shower steamers. For teams where hardly anyone has a bathtub (so, most of Singapore). You pop it on the shower floor and the steam carries the scent. I'll also show you how to make the scent last, so your money doesn't literally go down the drain: keep it out of the direct stream of water, and store the rest sealed, away from our humidity.

  • Pillow mist blending. Each table of five shares six bottles  of essential oils, and everyone blends their own 30ml pillow mist to take home. There's a lot of sniffing, swapping bottles and "wait, what did you put in yours?" It's the calmest of the three.
Everything we use is skin-safe, with no glitter, no sulphates and no parabens.

We can also try to match the scents, colours or packaging to your event or company branding, which is handy for year-end parties and Chinese New Year.

The practical bits

  • Weekdays: sessions between 10am and 4pm, so a late-morning or lunch-hour slot works well.

  • Outside those hours: possible, with a small extra fee. I'll tell you upfront, no surprises.

  • Our studio: if you're a team of 8 or fewer, you're welcome at our studio in Ubi.

  • Price: depends on group size, which workshop you choose and where. Fill in the form and I'll send you a quote.

Not after a workshop?

Some companies would rather I set up a pop-up stall in the staff pantry, so people can browse and buy during lunch. More on that in the next post, or just pick "Booths / Popup Sales" on the form.

Ready to plan it?

Fill in the enquiry form on ourcorporate workshops page with your rough date, location and headcount. I'll reply within one working day.

And if your team bonding still goes badly, at least everyone goes home with a bath bomb.
